Three Invector systems, one right answer for your barrel. Get matched to the choke that actually threads into your Browning.
Find the Comp-N-Choke that Fits Your Browning Choke System
Browning's changed its choke system twice since the 1980s — Standard Invector, Invector-Plus, and Invector-DS all use different thread lengths, and they're not interchangeable, so it's important to check the specs to ensure you get the right Comp-N-Choke for your shotgun:
1. Confirm your gauge.
A 12-gauge choke won't thread into a 20-gauge barrel, or vice versa, regardless of which Invector system you're running.
2. Confirm your choke system.
Check your barrel stamp — look near the breech end of the barrel, where it meets the receiver. Browning engraves the choke system directly on the metal (e.g., "INVECTOR PLUS" or "INVECTOR DS"), so you shouldn't need to guess.
3. Select your choke.
- An open choke like Skeet or Improved Cylinder spreads shot wide for close, fast-flushing upland birds.
- Modified through Extra Full chokes tighten the pattern for passing ducks and geese, longer sporting clays presentations, or turkey at 40 yards and beyond.
Consider Comp-N-Choke if...
Consider Comp-N-Choke if you want a proven, do-it-all choke for standard hunting and target work — precision-machined, USA stainless steel, and tool-free to swap between a morning hunt and an afternoon at the range.
Consider Kicks Industries if...
Consider Kicks Industries if you're shooting serious clays competition — skeet, trap, sporting clays, FITASC — and want reduced felt recoil for faster follow-up shots, or need a specialty application like Kicks' Howler predator choke or Buck Kicker buckshot line.
Both are USA-made and built from solid stock rather than cheaper tubing. The difference is which edge matters more for what you're shooting.
