H & R
Even a classic H&R single-shot deserves a choke tube made to hit your target
Find the Comp-N-Choke that Fits Your H&R Choke System
H&R shotguns thread with the Invector system. But that alone doesn't guarantee a fit. H&R 12-gauge chokes won’t fit every H&R model, while the 10-gauge line fits all H&R 10-gauge guns. Here's how to get it right:
1. Confirm your gauge.
We stock H&R chokes in 10-gauge and 12-gauge — the 10-gauge line fits all H&R 10-gauge models, but 12-gauge fitment varies model to model, so pay closer attention there.
2. Confirm your choke system.
H&R's 12-gauge barrels thread with the Invector system, though compatibility isn't universal — compare your existing factory choke against the overall length, in-barrel length, and bore diameter listed on the product page before ordering. One more wrinkle: if your barrel runs short (20-22"), size one step tighter than the standard recommendation.
3. Select your choke.
The naming depends on what you're hunting:
- Waterfowl ties each option to real ranges. Improved Cylinder improves accuracy out to 30 yards. Light Modified is built for decoying out to 40. Modified lets you hit mid-range at 20 to 50. Lastly, Improved Modified works for pass-shooting from 30-60 yards.
- Deer constrictions are named by buckshot size. X-Full for #000 and #00 buck, XX-Full for #1 and #4 buck.
- Turkey (12-gauge) runs tighter still, named by exact bore diameter — .675, .665, or .655 for barrels under 24".
These tubes follow the same Comp-N-Choke build as the rest of the lineup — precision machined, 17-4 stainless steel, and easy to swap for whatever the hunt calls for. The Waterfowl option also comes in black or brushed stainless finishes.
