I have previously owned these gloves. I mistakenly ordered a pair of the insulated and soon as they came in reordered the non-insulated. Don't get me wrong the insulated are great but too bulky for any type of fine manipulation. The non insulated with the fleece lining will still keep your hands warm in pretty darn cold weather yet are flexible enough that you can still perform many tasks that require some dexterity with your fingers. I have arthritis and have to have protection from the cold or the pain will send me in.
