Protect yourself from briars, thorns and the elements. These briarproof, waterproof, windproof and yes, even Bloodproof chaps. They will protect you from almost any fluid or sticker. I have even tangled with a couple of barbwire fences. They are definitely the best chap on the market today for the money.

Roll a pair up in your pack for after you kill your deer, hog, elk or whatever. They make cleanup a snap. Just hose off, let dry and you are done. The briarproof material won't absorb any water/fluid, they dry in 5 minutes.

These chaps are:

  • Tough
  • Lightweight
  • Comfortable
  • Waterproof
  • Briarproof
  • Bloodproof

These chaps come with a waterproof liner and 24" side zipper for easy on and off, buckle fasteners for easy fastening to belt.

Inseam Length:

  • 26"
  • 28"
  • 30"
  • 32"
  • 34"

Thigh diameter:

  • 24"  Small
  • 26"  Medium
  • 28"  Large
  • 30"  X Large

Colors: Brown,

To properly get your chap measurement.
Measure with a soft cloth tape, piece of string or a shoelace around the largest part of your thigh. That is usually ½ way between hip and knee. Add 2-3 inches for ability to move in chaps.
Please subtract 2-3 inches from your inseam. These chaps need to hang from your hip. If they bunch at your boots they will rub at your knees. You can let them down with the straps that attach to your belt.  If they are to large they will rub together at  the knees when you walk, causing unnecessary wear. You will also be disappointed, because they will only last for half as long as normal.

As always if it doesn’t fit correctly we will be happy to exchange the garment if it isn’t a custom order. It MUST be in new condition and be able to be restocked as such for ANY return.

This Dan’s Hunting Gear clothing is handsewn by Amish craftsmen in the U.S.A. Dan’s Hunting Gear has been outfitting  hunters and outdoors people for over 25 years.

Just a little friendly advice regarding the washing of these clothes: DO NOT dry them in the dryer; they will shrink at least one size, maybe two. You will be disgusted, but your kids will be proud of their new clothes.

    High and dry chaps

Posted by Ryan King on Jan 28th 2021

I bought these chaps a week ago and ready used them for some pheasant hunting. I purposely walked through the thickest and most tangled patches of brush I could find to try and kick up birds. True to their claim to fame, the only time I really realized I was hip deep in briars was when my hand dropped to low. After a day of hunting I thought I saw some minor scratches on them but after hosing them off it was just residual dust from kicking through all the dry grass. Im very impressed with this product so far. Would definitely buy another pair if these ever wear out.

Only used once but saved me while wading through brush clearing job. Good affordable item to keep in the truck for the rough stuff.

As a utility forester, these chaps have transformed my day as I no longer get poked and damage my clothes with thorns, stay dry walking through dew and rain, and am protected with a durable yet cool and comfortable layer from everything the woods throws at your legs, including ticks. Love these

    They’re great!

I was tired of ruining jeans working on calves and doing other farm chores, these chaps did the trick. They’re going to work great for me. I can get mud and blood/afterbirth on them and don’t have to worry because once I am done I just take the water-hose and wash them off.
